When I write, I reach into the space between reality and fantasy, poetry and naturalism, to craft expansive stories that explore queerness, love, and belonging. My plays include: landscape (development: Theatre L’Acadie, Whale Watch Fest NYC, Valdez Theatre Conference, Mirrorbox Theatre; awards: NAP Series at Normal Ave finalist, LAB Series at The Inkwell Theater finalist, Premiere Play Festival semifinalist, Irons in the Fire at Fault Line Theatre semifinalist), overgrown (development: Valdez Theatre Conference, Jackalope Playwrights Lab), and Witchcraft, Bitchcraft (workshop and commission: Pocket Theatrics).
I am the co-founding artistic producer for new play development initiatives dedicated to local unproduced and underproduced playwrights, including Freshly Brewed at The Understudy Coffee and Books and New Play Fest at Subtext Studio TC in Chicago, and Whale Watch Fest in New York City, producing more than 20 different new play workshops since launching my freelance career in 2023. Other projects include remounting the decades-long development program, the Black Swan Lab, at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and coordinating the script office at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center.
My directing credits include readings and workshops such as ACOMMA by Marjorie Muller (Artemisia Theatre), Monstrous by Skye Hillgartner (OSF FAIR Capstone), Hypergamater by Marjorie Muller (Valdez Theatre Conference), and Revenge of the Holy Virgin Martyrs by Kristin Idaszak (asst. dir. to Regina Victor, TimeLine Theatre).
I have served on dramaturgy teams for new play readings and workshops at Actors Theatre of Louisville, TimeLine Theatre Company, The Story Theatre, and more. I am also an alumnus of the New Play Dramaturgy Intensive at the Kennedy Center with Mark Bly. I regularly serve as a script reader for Playwrights Center and The Playwrights Realm.
